Our member agency, Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE), is a non-profit service organization that exists to provide affordable transportation to older adults, persons with disabilities, and other transit-dependent individuals in western Washtenaw County.
An enhanced collaboration between the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) and the United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) has led to a free community shuttle transportation service for all Chelsea residents. The free shuttle will operate Monday through Saturday, for four hours each day, and offer three “shopping loops” with a total of 11 stops that will allow residents to shop, visit the post office, enjoy the Farmer’s Market and many other opportunities and activities throughout Chelsea.

It’s hard to think spring when it’s snowing, but St. Louis Center can help! Purchasing flowers as part of their Living Color fundraiser will benefit their Tranquility Garden. The flowers are grown in Litchfield , MI and will be delivered to St. Louis Center directly from the greenhouse. If you don’t plant flowers at your own home, consider purchasing plants for the residents to plant at the St. Louis Center. All plants will arrive for pick-up in mid-late May.
